Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you probably know, this is my 17th London Marathon and I wanted to put something back into two exceptionally worthy local causes. The first and the subject of this just giving page is our local hospital. Just to add a twist, as so many people comment that my Keighley & Craven AC colours are quite 'loud', I thought that I would add all over body paint, face paint and hair spray in the club colours as well.

I have had a reasonable amount of experience there in recent years with a big bike crash a few years ago, a few sporting injuries and the birth of Emily/Lucy. I also hear the great stories about the place from various people who work there and who are also very sporty like me. It is such a vitally important place for our local community and the charitable foundation has various projects with many targeted at providing extra facilities for kids.

In addition, the A & E also saved Liz Tomes life a few months ago in a critical situation and they have also provided great care for other friends in recent years.

You may also see that I have another cause very close to my heart which is not a charity but involves a local school and sport. You will hopefully have seen my email/Facebook page so I also hope that some people will also consider donating via me directly for the purchase of new bikes for the school.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I am very grateful for any donation, however small.
