We provide nursing & end of life care to local children

Story

2014 is the 10th Birthday of Ty Gobaith, the sister children's hospice to Hope House, both of which my family have been involved in supporting since my brother Matthew died in 1989.  So it seems a good reason to get my arse into gear and do some fundraising for them!

Without the services of the 2 hospices many families in North and Mid Wales and Shropshire and Cheshire would have much harder lives.

Looking after children with terminal illnesses and life limiting conditions is exhausting and the care, support and fun provided by the hospices for these special children and their families is invaluable. This care doesn't end if the child is lost - it continues and is a lifeline to many families.

Challenge Number 1 was chilly!  The Llandudno Boxing Day dip was fun but freezing.

Now for the BIG ONE!  Walk around Anglesey in 10 days.  That's over 125 miles once I have got to and from campsites that are not handily placed where I need them!  This is going to really push me.  I'll have family and friends popping along to keep me company but a lot of the time it will just be me and a large rucksack.

Training is going well and I've been building up to the multiple days of walking but your support and any funds I raise will be what keeps me going when it is chucking it down with rain (as it invariably will in Wales in September!)

Please support me with whatever you can give.  And don't forget to gift aid!!!

We’re here to ensure that children with life-threatening conditions enjoy the best quality of life, together with their families. We provide specialist care and bereavement support, when and where they need it, and work to ensure that no one faces the death of a child alone.
