School to School Cycle Challenge · 13 October 2014

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Back in February 2014 our cousin George Woodhead was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma - a form of bone cancer.  He is still undergoing treatment at the John Radcliffe.  Last week our Mum and Dad told us that our little cousin Katie (George's sister) also has a form of cancer (Germ cancer) and needs chemotherapy to help reduce and get rid of the tumor they have found in her tummy.

We really really wanted to do something to help raise some money for the charity Clic Sargent that has been a really big support to Auntie Emma and Uncle Charlie and their whole family. On October 13th we are going to cycle from George's School (Horris Hill) via Oliver's school Brockhurst - Jonny will then join us from Brockhurst to his school Harriet House.  We will then continue on to Pangbourne College (Fergus and Izzy's School) and then finally onto Katie's School (The Manor Abingdon).  A total of approximately 40 miles!!!!!   Our Mum and Dad will be our support riders (though no doubt mum will be lagging behind!).  We hope that Uncle Charlie and Izzy may be able to join us for some of the challenge too!

We wanted to do something that was a real challenge and we think it will be and hope that you will donate generously.

Thank you

Fergus (Age 13), Oliver (Age 11) and Jonny (Age 5)
