Hi everyone! Thanks for taking to the time to come to my page. As some of you may know I'm not the most natural runner, however I have taken the plunge to run The Great Manchester half marathon to raise money for Nurture UK! 

The importance of mental health within education is something I feel extremely passionate about; charities such as Nurture UK focus on helping the social, emotional and mental well-being of pupils. Supporting pupils overall health throughout education is key in enabling children to reach their full potential; mental health playing a large role in this! Nurture UK are all about removing any barriers to learning and using evidence based research to change the future of children all over the UK. 

This charity will use the money I raise to input early interventions within schools, such as nurture groups to help with children's social and emotional skills, along with training of teachers and raising further awareness for the nurture approach.
