Hi All,

First of all, a big thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 3rd July I will be taking part in the Fan Dance 24km non-navigational race over two sides of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. This is the same route that the SAS (Special Air Service) and SBS (Special Boat Service) Selection takes place over. I will be aiming to complete the race in 5hrs 20 (4hrs 10 is the SAS target) and I will be taking part in the weight baring race which means I must carry a bag weighing 25kg. 

As much as this is a challenge for myself I am also raising money for the charity Mind. I believe Mind are an amazing organisation and their work so far has been amazing. As some who has dealt with mental health issues, suffering with severe anxiety and depression, I want to help raise awareness by both raising money and showing how mental strength can make you achieve incredible things. I believe that physical strength can only be accomplished through mental strength first and this race will be a true test of both. 

I will be filming, blogging and photographing my whole training process (typical Georgie I know) beacuse along with wanting to see my own progress I want to help others know what it is like and help encourage others to step outside their comfort, and do something challenging.
