My Sister and I are taking on the Challenge of the New York Marathon to raise much needed funds for Newry Hospice in honour of our very special Aunt Mary Quinn who sadly lost her long brave battle on the 9th February 2018.
The Hospice is a truly wonderful place for people with life-limiting illnesses. It provides a Safe Haven and a caring sanctuary for patients and their families.
Mary was an exceptional Mother, loving Sister, adoring Grandmother as well as being a fantastic Aunt and wonderful friend to so many. Mary had an infectious personality and always brought a smile but mostly brought lots of laughs! She always left you feeling that little bit better for seeing her.
We discussed running the marathon with Mary before she passed and Mary being Mary said she wanted to join us! Well her joyful spirit will be with us and we know she will guide us through this challenge with love in our hearts and a smile on our face.
Mary was very adamant about us raising funds for Newry Hospice as she was truly grateful for all the support and kindness she received.
With Mary’s spirit in mind please support us on our quest to raise as much funds as we can for this invaluable charity.

Thanking you in advance
Geraldine Eakins and Tanya McAnearney
