Story
This year we are running the Belfast city marathon team relay and the spar Craic 10k in aid of the charity Lifeline and in memory of our daddy Gérard mckeown. A short few months ago our world came down around us by the loss of our daddy. The 9 months previous to that involved a lot of of hospital visits, interventions and a lot of pleas that fell on deaf ears with the health service. The one place that was there constantly for my daddy was Lifeline. Night after night he would have rang them either for a simple chat or they would saved his life by sending an ambulance, that sounds dramatic but it is true. Unless you've been through this yourself you have no idea what it is like to feel so powerless and myself and my family will never be able to show lifeline how much gratitude we have for the help they gave our daddy. And so on 1st may we will be running our socks off in the hope that we can raise as much as we can for this service so that they can continue to help others as much as they helped us and our daddy.
