Duncan Robert Haymes (1953-2016)

Duncan was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in the year 2000 and has been an inspiration to us all over the last 16 years through his strength, determination and courage in dealing with his diagnosis.

He was the most warm, loving and generous husband, father, brother, friend & colleague and has handled his situation with such resolve and dignity.  He was unfaltering in his desire to retain integrity, and adamant that everyone around him share his positive mental attitude.   He was a true inspiration to family and friends.

We are full of admiration for his many achievements in life and we hope to help him achieve a wish he expressed to support the Young Oncology Unit at The Christie hospital in Manchester and Dr Rao's team who have looked after him so well.

We are looking to fundraise to support young people of the future, their families and the ongoing research.

Thank you in advance for your donations - he was a remarkable man who was loved by all who knew him and he has left a big hole in all our hearts.
