Gladys and Ming, were just two dogs, out of millions that were were destined for the Chinese live animal markets, but were rescued by Chinese activists and taken to the Qimeng Dog Shelter.

Jane and Sue, two UK supporters visiting separately visiting our sanctuary last year, on hearing of the plight of these dogs, decided to act and after long months of quarantine brought Gladys and Ming home. Find out more about their stories here.

They are taking part in Animals Asia's Animal History and Birdlife of St James' Park walk on 15 June to raise funds and awareness for other dogs, suffering like they were. As funds raised will help Animals Asia provide vital veterinary care and support to the Qiming Dog Shelter (near our bear rescue centre in Chengdu)in China.
