Story
Last year, I was diagnosed with ADHD. The diagnosis made sense and explained many of the challenges that I experienced throughout my childhood and into adulthood.
Shortly after my diagnosis I was introduced to the umbrella term ‘Neurodiversity’ which covers ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other conditions that impact how the brain processes information.
I can’t help but wonder ‘what if’ I'd been correctly diagnosed and received the right treatment as a child or earlier in my career? That said, I feel lucky and privileged to have the knowledge now and opportunity to thrive in the rest of my career and enjoy life with my family.
On Saturday 10th September I’ll make my boxing debut at the ripe old age of 41 years old. I hope to raise money and awareness for The ADHD Foundation.
The ADHD Foundation is the UK’s leading neurodiversity charity, supporting the 1 in 5 of us who live with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and Tourette’s syndrome.
