Glen's Clisham Walk · 3 May 2013

Bethesda provides 4 hospice beds for specialist palliative care and 30 long-term care home beds. It is required to raise over £470,000 per year to keep the hospice open and offers a much needed and caring service to those who are terminally ill and those who require nursing care.

Story

Most of you will be familiar with Glen’s remarkable story when he went missing in Edinburgh at the time of the fireworks display on New Year’s Eve and which was featured so widely on television and in the press. Everybody agreed that it was a great “good news “ story.

Now that things have settled down and are back to normal Glen is going to show his appreciation for all the concern shown for his safety and for the great effort folk made to assist in finding him.

He is going to do a sponsored hill walk in Harris in May. The actual date will depend on the weather but the walk will be to the top of the highest hill in Harris , the Clisham. The money raised will be in aid of the Bethesda Hospice in Stornoway and your support for this will be much appreciated.
