Raising money for ME, CFS, Fibromyalgia research

Story

We had not heard of the difficulties getting effective treatment for suffers of ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia until Glynn's daughter Niki joined Alex Howard in the Optimum Health Clinic in 2003 to develop the nutritional protocols which complement the psychological ones which form the basis of OHC's  integrative approach to treatment.

Our local Nuffield Health gym at Farnborough is supporting us by hosting the event which will be on Saturday morning 26th August. To assist us prepare we have the help of one of their trainers,  Elliot Hendy who is an expert in Triathlon and Ironman races.

Between us we are planning to complete the Olympic Triathlon distances of 1.5 kilometres swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running.

We believe in OHC's vision that one day their integrated treatment should be available to all via the NHS.  Funding the Randomised Control Trial will bring this closer to becoming a reality.

About the charity

The Optimum Health Clinic is an integrative medicine clinic run by those personally affected by ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia. We are currently fundraising for a randomised controlled trial into our protocol approaches, with the long-term aim of NHS funding being available for those unable to afford support.
