Thanks for the 2nd 'on-line' donation from Don from ..... www.decor-rated.com ..... he's the one on the left wearing the white dungarees......it almost makes you look like a professional decorator mate! Are those the same dunagrees you wore on "60 minute makeover" and "Changing Rooms"?.....and where is your Paint Pod? Thanks again and don't forget to listen.

11/11/09

Thanks to Dave Bailey and John Hammond of Home Ventilation Systems for their excellent donation of £40. Cheers. You are both true gentlemen.

The donations keep rolling in. Thanks to Wayne Jones and Ian Adkins of Dorset Orthopaedic Company for their donations today. Thanks to Tim and Nicky Clarke (from A K Controls Ltd) for their contribution. Also a big thanks to Colin Rolf of Catercare on the Isle of Wight for his generous donation today. You are all great people to work with.....I do mean that!

We are now over halfway towards our target. A big thanks to the generosity of all my customers who have donated to date. With the support of a few more people and businesses, we'll soon be at the target.

Rumour has it that Paul West of Hope FM has been in contact with the Bournemouth Echo about this "Radio Karaoke" thing......so keep a look out.

5.40pm - A big thanks to John Spiers of JDS Catering Equipment Ltd for his generous donation of £50. That's a great boost and leaves us fast approaching our target (which I may yet increase!). Thanks John.

Neil Munday of JDS Catering Equipment and Meridian FM (East Grinstead) http://www.meridianfm.com/index.php/presenters/neil_munday has promised to get 'all technical' and record us in an 'e-mailable' format if you should miss it. Thanks Neil.....apparently Meridian FM is almost as good as Hope FM!

Monday donations have kindly come in from Debbie from Primair Europe. Thanks Debbie.

We've also had an off-line donation from Malcolm from ECO. What a star and a gentleman he is......and a very very very clever bloke too.

Tuesday, 17th November 2009

Thank you Chris Messanger of Axair Fans for the only donation of the day. Really appreciated Chris. Axair Fans are really good Company to do business with and a better more knowledgable helpful rep you'd struggle to find......and he's a nice fellow as well. Cheers mate.

Finally, a late night donation from John and Audrey Eyler of Gig Harbour, Washington State, USA who are kindly sending $75 dollars so the off-line donation has increased by around £50. Thanks you two. Much appreciated.

Wednesday, 18th November 2009

Having sent an update e-mail last night to everyone, we were absolutely thrilled to get numerous donations today.

The first off-line donation came from Julian at Allfix Ltd (www.allfix.co.uk) who has very kindy agreed to donate £25, closely followed by a promise of £20 from Keith Tempany Opticians (www.keithtempanyopticians.com/). Thanks Keith and Jackie. I'll see you all in due course.

Special thanks to Terry and Jeanne Smith for their donation of £25. More fantastic people you could not wish to meet particularly Jeanne as the esteemed leader of "The Apprentices"!

We also need to thank Mike, Cindy, Jasmine and Rowan (Tanya's sister and her crew) for £25 towards the cause.

In the end, we have the lovely Sherren Family from Crowthorne to thank for breaking us through the £600 target. Thank you Michael, Zena, Fiona and Celia.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR HELPING US ACHIEVE OUR TARGET.

We'd love to exceed the target considerably, so if you haven't donated and want to do so, please give via this website or by phoning or e-mailing me. Thank you from Gordon and Tanya.

Thursday, 19th November 2009

We had a couple of late night donations yesterday, so I have to say a big thanks to Justin Oehme-Steer of South Coast Fabrications Ltd for a £20 off line donation and a £10 on line donation from Andrew Turner of Climate Comfort (Air Conditioning).

We also had £10 from Bob Coates of TRG. Cheers Bob. Much appreciated Bob.

We are now well above target. Thanks everyone and remember to listen in 10 days time!

Some days later......

Sorry, I've not posted for a few days. However, as I write this we have reached exactly £800. In no particular order, I have to thank new donations since Thursday from Margaret and Duncan Smith, Rev. Reg and Jenny Baldock, Bob and Seema Chadda, The Dixons (Mark, Claire and little Jay), Colin from Catercare (2nd donation...thanks mate), The Burnetts (David, Donna, Rachel and Katie) and Geoff Rhodes of HWB accountants.

I've just been on Hope FM for an on-air chat with Westy about our progress and we should be on between 7pm and 8pm next Sunday. We still hope for Neil Munday to record our section as an e-mailable file.

Sunday, 29th November 2009

Well here we are. The big day has arrived. We are due to sing in a few short hours. Sadly, practising has been curtailed this week due to a very nasty sore throat. But (thank the Lord), it has cleared up 80% overnight. We'll be doing a final bit of rehearsing this afternoon.

Donations did dry up a little this week but we were blessed to receive donations from;

Iain "Kojak" Millwood and family. Thanks Iain.....top builder

We are also blessed to have received more support from the congregation of St. John with St. Michael's Church from Katie and Maisy Wilson, Anne Bartlett, Jean and David Cheeseman and Jean Harris. These donations took us up to £855.

However, the final thank you has to be reserved for our wonderful neighbours, Clive and Denny Bartlett who very generously donated £250 this morning which has helped us bust through the £1,000 mark. You two are special friends that we've been blessed to get to know.......and Noah can't wait for his Aunty Denny to do baby-sitting tonight when Mum and Dad are singing!
