Event: Nevis at Night, on 22 September 2018
We Raise funds for access and conservation to control erosion and improve biodiversity

Story

Each year 130,000 climb Ben Nevis and around 200,000 people visit Glen Nevis. We all have an impact on the paths, the roads and the environment. Paths need repaired, litter needs collected (especially discarded flip-flops and the remains of supermarket packed lunches), trees need to be planted and wildlife needs to be monitored.

The Ben Nevis Fund is a one stop shop for all donations for the conservation and improvement of the natural and cultural heritage of the Nevis Management Area for the local community and visitors to the area to enjoy.

Money raised will go towards improving and maintaining sustainable access, protecting and enhancing the cultural and natural heritage of the area and encouraging education, volunteering and engagement for all.

Many charity events use Ben Nevis to raise worthwhile funds, this event will help the mountain itself.

About the charity

We care for Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, and stunning surrounding landscape. We aim to make this cherished area an exemplar of a sustainable and collaborative approach to managing this beautiful glen and mountain, conserving and enhancing its landscape, wild country and heritage for all.
