Access to justice should be equally available to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. This principle is at the cornerstone of the legal justice system in England and Wales. In practice it is not the case.

The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that raises funds for free legal advice services in London and the South East. 

They support the provision of specialist legal advice through law centres, advice agencies and citizens advice bureaux by providing them with grant funding alongside other forms of support.

Advice Agencies and Citizens Advice Bureaux work very hard to try to ensure that vulnerable people do have a way of accessing justice through a mixture of "Legal Aid" (publically-funded work), funding from local authorities, charitable donations, and by using pro bono volunteers.

Receiving the legal advice they need makes a huge difference to these peoples' lives, reducing debt, poverty and homelessness, and combatting discrimination and injustice. 

Graham Huntley is a commercial litigator and founding partner of Signature Litigation. Graham has a long standing commitment to charitable and pro bono work. He is a trustee of several charities, including the London Legal Support Trust, the Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau and the Capital Cases Charitable Trust (of which he is chairman) among other pro bono and social exclusion projects.

Graham Huntley also continues to devote time and energy to the legal community. He is past president of the London Solicitors Litigation Association and is a member of the Commercial Court User’s Committee. He remains active in several judicial and other professional working groups and study bodies, in relation to which Graham has made several contributions to the continuing analysis of managing large cases.
