I aim to visit up to 8 churches on foot on Sat 14th September 2019 as part of the RHCPT Ride and Stride.  50% of funds raised will be donated directly to our church; the rest to RHCPT.  Although the church has urgent roof repairs (for which RHCPT has granted £10,000), the long term aim is to install flexible seating, heating, a toilet and a servery.  This will transform the church into flexible accommodation enabling village meetings and private, non religious events to take place as well as preserving the charm of the oldest church in Rutland.  At the moment we have no village hall or public meeting place or bus service, so transforming the church will greatly improve the well being of all in Stretton.
