Story
10% of the world's population are visually impaired because they cannot get the glasses they need. Without adequate correction (a pair of glasses), this impairment often becomes a permanent disability.
Vision Aid Overseas works with each country to provide sustainable services offering a long term solution. They do this by setting up Vision Centres, training local people to provide eye care services and using the expertise of volunteer UK optical professionals to develop outreach programmes in remote areas.

Optometry is deep rooted within the DNA of our group, and we have a responsibility to help those who are most in need of basic eyecare. This event will give us an opportunity to raise some well needed money for a fantastic cause!
Please donate generously. We are aiming to reach £10,000 before the walk begins.
So what's the plan?!
On Sunday 8th June, we will be walking Morecambe Bay, accompanied by Cedric Robinson MBE, the Queen's 'Guide to the Sands of Morecambe Bay'. The walk is expected to last 3-4 hours and is around 7-8 miles short! Everybody is free to join us... the more the merrier.
The walk will be followed by a Family BBQ. We encourage everyone to attend and bring friends and family along with them. It'll be a great opportunity to meet the rest of the team and have a fun time..... oh, and did i mention the delicious FREE FOOD!
Please rest assured that 100% of all your donations will be going straight to VAO. Any costs incurred for this event will strictly be covered by head office.
