Story
This year is going to be one tough Lent! I am giving up all those rubbishy foods we love too much...
Chocolate
Sweets
Crisps
Takeaways
Sugary Drinks
Pizza
Cakes
Biscuits
Why am I going to such extremes?
As most of you know, my youngest brother has Downs Syndrome and this means he finds things a lot harder than most children his age as he will develop a lot slower.
A lot of people feel sorry for others with this disability but Jamie is a lively and happy little brother who just needs that extra care and attention for him to do well in life.
Rutland house offers this for him.
He goes onces a week where he makes friends with other children that have similar disabilities to him and he can have fun and learn with people that are experts in the field.
It can also be hard for parents of these children, who want to give the best to them but need some support and guidance and Rutland house can provide this.
But, they need your help to stay open! With the small school relying on people's donations, funding can be hard and this is where I am asking for your help!
If I can give up all of the things above for 40 days and 40 nights (Well 39... I am hoping you will let me have my birthday off!)... Will you donate something to this wonderful cause and help little girls and boys like Jamie? :)
No donation is too big or small!
THANK YOU
