Story
In 2014, I met an amazing individual named Michael Fox at the United Nations in Geneva. I was taken by his speech entitled "A feminist perspective on the HIV/AIDs crisis". Since then, he has started the charity "TZ Rising" which gives scholarships to girls in Tanzania enabling them to attend school. Michael's passion for helping those in need and doing something impactful is extremely inspiring and part of the reason I have chosen this charity with which to get involved.
According UN Women, just 36% of rural girls attend secondary school. Supporting TZ rising can change this. If these girls stay in school they will:
- Earn 25% more money to buy enough food and water for their family;
- Be 3 times less likely to obtain HIV or AIDS;
- Gain greater confidence to be independent;
- Help their community develop and grow; and
- Become a part of democracy to help make their country better.
Tz Rising is dedicated to empowering disadvantaged girls in rural Tanzania with secondary education. Tz Rising belongs to the parents, the schools, and to the girls who give everything so they can study and fulfill their dreams. Tz Rising does everything it can to see its scholars succeed in life.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
