In 2016, Hay was diagnosed with COPD. He was admitted to the JPH  Intensive Care Unit on the 11th of May, where they endeavoured to save his life. Unfortunately, his condition got progressively worse in the coming days and on the 17th of May he passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

The care Hay received during his time at the ICU was second-to-none. The staff who supported Hay were outstanding and provided him with the comfort he needed in his final moments. The ICU is equipped for 12 beds unfortunately only 8 are supported due to a lack of funding. 

We are truly grateful for the compassionate help and support provided by the medical team to Haydn. We would like to show our appreciation by opening this fundraising page.
