Story

Head-On 2019 is a music event to support the work of the Merseyside Regional Head & Neck Cancer Centre.  So far we have
raised over £50,000 and all proceeds raised through donations to this site (NB you can't use this site to buy tickets) go to support the research
work of the Centre.    These project have included:

•  a new study to understand how gene mutations affect the outcome of their head & neck cancer treatment, and to assess the most appropriate treatment plans for patients with such any gene mutations.

•   a new study into whether it is possible to personalise radiotherapy in order to minimise the long term side effects of this treatment.

•  a major research projects into the use of tracheostomy in Head & Neck cancer surgery

•  an examination of why many Head & Neck cancer patients are late in presenting their symptoms to GP’s and medical professionals.
