After overcoming my own long term injury demons, I will be running the Sheffield Half Marathon this year. I've decided to raise funds for the Sheffield Carer's Centre. To learn more about what they do, click here:  https://sheffieldcarers.org.uk/ 

The Sheffield Carer's Centre provides a range of support services to unpaid carers living in the city-wide area. This includes specialist advice, carers needs assessments, counselling, support with community activities access and emergency planning. They also offer a safe space for unpaid carers to meet, share experiences and support one another whilst taking a well earned break. Without the services provided by the Sheffield Carer's Centre, many unpaid carers would not be able to manage. 

Every day at work I see the challenges that are faced by my patients and their families following life changing events. But I also see how people strive for positivity and strength to overcome these barriers for a better life for their loved ones. 

I'm therefore honoured to finally have the opportunity to give something back and raise some funds for this invaluable local charity. So please, give what you can to help those that selflessly care for others.
