I have always enjoyed exercise and running has become the number one resource in my mental health toolkit, which I have struggled with my whole adult life. Running helps alleviate my symptoms.

I have decided to run this years RHHM on behalf of Equation. As a survivor myself, I want to highlight domestic abuse and raise funds for the much needed services they offer.

Equation’s goal as a charity is for everyone to have equal, healthy relationships, in a society free from domestic abuse, sexual violence and gender inequality. 1 in 4 women will still experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, Equation challenge the attitude and behaviours that cause domestic abuse. Their GREAT primary school project has won awards for enabling children to grow up understanding what healthy relationships look like and knowing how to build one for themselves. Equation give out safety information, support male survivors of abuse and bring the whole community together to provide the best possible response when abuse happens.
