Hello my friends...

In have supported the Friends of Sheffield Music Hub for over 10 years now and am delighted to be fundraising for their latest appeal: The Musical Stars Programme.

The Musical Stars Programme aims to overcome barriers that prevent children and young people from spreading their musical wings. You can help me in this quest by donating to the Musical Stars Fund.

I am doing this because I know from personal experience what joy and personal pride can come from playing a musical instrument, both to the player and to those around them.

As someone working in the field of mental health & psychiatry with a particular interest in maximising the potential of younger people, I hate to think that lack of money or support would mean that a young person with a passion for music would not be able to develop this.

This is what the Musical Stars Programme aims to prevent. It's not about supporting "talent" ( necessarily) but PASSION and ENTHUSIASM

Some rather wacky people at the Music Hub (no names, but of course I suspect, Ian) are suggesting we run to Samba music...so... looking forward to whatever that may mean....
