Story
Hello friends. As you all know I was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer in January - a 14.5 tumor (for some reason the size is important!) had grown around my kidney. My immediate diagnosis was terrible and the pain and terror for my family inconceivable. Thankfully we met a wonderful surgeon who with his team performed a lifesaving, quite extraordinary operation on February 4th. I have absolutely no doubt that without his skill (and patience….a 4 hour robotic procedure!), alongside my will to survive and above all ‘God’, I would not be here today. I have always loved running and few things give me such peace and enjoyment as trotting outside listening to music. I recently started to run again and HOPE I’ll be up to 5k by September 18th. I am running to raise money for The Urology Foundation (my surgeons charity - who carry out research into urology cancers and diseases) and to celebrate life with my amazing family and my gorgeous loyal friends. I can quite safely say the love and support we have felt throughout and continue to feel has blown us away. I am so so incredibly grateful to be alive and to be running again! Please donate 💚
