We support slum dwellers in Delhi, India to tackle the cycle of poverty

Story

In October, Evie and I are going to India to volunteer working in the slums as part of the AHSA project. This might not sound like something we might do but it was watching this video -  http://youtu.be/5IRjdXPe6SE that really inspired us to volunteer and raise funds for the project so our visit can have a more lasting impact.

We are asking for donations however small to help fund the the work of the charity and make a difference to the lives of children like Bindia.

We have a fantastic education system which we take for granted. Our children have endless opportunities which we take for granted. The reality for these children is very different. ASHA aims to change that and give hope.

ASHA tackle all the issues that can keep slum dwellers trapped in poverty. Their programmes help slum residents gain access to healthcare, financial services and education, and make it possible for them to make long-term, positive changes to their lives.

Thank you for reading this. Please donate if you are able and please share.

Helen & Evie xx
