Helen works with Professor Marion Walker in strokerehabilitation research at the University of Nottingham. "Cycling 250 miles has been worth every aching muscle to raise funds to support world-leading research into earlier diagnosis andimproved treatment for dementia."

Helen has been touched by this devastating disease on a personal level: "My Dad’s dementia meant he was no longer able to lookafter my Mum who had had a stroke and they both had to give up their home to residentialcare, something most of us hope to avoid.
