Leeds Rhinos Foundation, as the affiliated charity for the Leeds Rhinos, is committed to improving all areas of life in the community and continues to work in different areas of support and public education to change lives through sport.
The Leeds Rhinos Foundation, working in partnership with the Leeds Peer Support Service provide a monthly service for people living with dementia.The meetings, supported by Peer Support Coordinators from Leeds City Council, offer the groups a chance to bring in and discuss historic memorabilia, take a tour of the stadium, see club trophies first hand and take part in engaging discussion with peers also living with the condition.
Leeds Rhinos Foundation in partnership with Yorkshire Cancer Research offers a rehabilitation programme to support cancer patients in Leeds.The partnership also includes community health checks at matches, education in schools and raising awareness of the importance of the prevention and early diagnosis of cancer among Rugby League fans.
We all know someone that is affected by dementia or cancer, please help if you can (no amount too small) to raise funds for these great charities.
