Story
Will you help us pay for the urgent care of one-year-old Harley?
This beautiful boy was found on the streets of Ely on Tuesday, clearly in terrible pain. He was brought to Wood Green's Godmanchester Centre where our surgery team discovered he had fractured his radius and ulna on his right foreleg (the forearm bones). The muscle damage to his leg suggests that he may have been involved in a high impact trauma, such as being hit by a car. Harley is not microchipped, and so far nobody has come forward to claim him.
Harley was sent to the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket to be operated on, and we now need your help pay for his operation and after care. Harley will be sent to recuperate in a foster home for the next 6-8 weeks, after which time he will be able to start physio to ensure he makes a full recovery and can go on to lead a full and happy life.
Whilst we do have funding for major operations, our resources are very limited. The total cost of Harley's operation and aftercare is going to be around £3,500. To ensure the future of Harley and others like him, we urgently need donations from our supporters to help us fund the operation.

Despite his ordeal Harley is a lovable and friendly boy who wants to make friends with everyone he meets! Wood Green's Head Veterinary Nurse Carrie Robinson said "Harley is such a sweet-natured boy. While we don't know exactly what happened to him, the damage to his leg suggests he may have been involved in a car accident. We have been unable to trace an owner for him, and would like to urge anyone who knows anything about him to come forward and contact us."
