Story
We all work in the care industry and each and every one of us loves the work we do. We thrive everyday to do the very best for our residents at Hinckley House, and just a smile is the best reward in the world.
The group of us completing this challenge all have different roles within our home, we range from a kitchen assistant to a Deputy Manager. However it does not matter what role you have every single person is just as important as the other.
We wanted to take part in this Snowdon challenge, to raise money and to support the care workers charity which continues to support care workers when they can no longer support others.
We also think it will be a great team building day and we will have lots of fun! (OR WE'RE MAD!!)
Please support us in our journey, even a £1 will go a long way. I will post regular updates and photos of the challenges we face training for the big event.
I would like to say a big THANK YOU in advance from myself and the team for any support given to us. We really do appreciate it!
Thank you
Amanda, Jodie, Claire, and Julie xx :)
There are nearly 2 million care workers in the UK, contributing to one of Britain’s largest workforces, and caring for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. For care workers, early starts, long hours and mentally draining work are part and parcel of the job. As a result, it’s all too easy for illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, to push them beyond their financial limits. As a country, we depend on our care workers to be there for us on our rainy day. The Care Workers Charity is there for them on theirs.
