Story
Dear Friends and Followers
I need your help to escape the clutches of the law, to avoid missing lunch – and to help raise #JailAndBail funds for Ormiston Famlies, which supports vulnerable children, young people and their families in the East of England.
My love of good food appears to have been my downfall. I have gone from championing Norfolk Food & Drink in 2014 to facing accusations of eating all the pies (and quite a few cakes too). Now I face eating only porridge until Easter (did someone say eggs?) unless you can help me post bail of £2,500 – for the benefit of Ormiston Families.
On Thursday 5 March, the Old Bill (like a restaurant bill, only scarier) will arrest me in the middle of breakfast (oh the indignity – and indigestion). They will then haul me before Judge 'Nick' Coleman. (Sadly he is not a Colman of mustard fame because we do like mustard with our pies.) This is a case of #JailAndBail.
Unless my barrister, Harry “Hopeless” Case QC, comes up with a convincing defence and full payment of the £2,500 bail money, I will be doing more time than is needed to watch a full series of MasterChef. Help me avoid this fate worse than death (by chocolate).
Donate generously to my #JailAndBail campaign and let this (hungry) gourmet go free to eat another day. A donation of £5 (the cost of a latté and a sandwich) will do – although the average on JustGiving is £10 (no more than a plate of posh fish & chips) – but please give whatever you can.
Ormiston Families does valuable work with children, young people and their families in our local community. Follow the link to read about their work – but hit the donation button first.
Thank you
Huw
PS: Please share this #JailAndBail page with your friends on social media – and food critics.
