Story
In June, I will be going to Ethiopia to help with the Complex Surgical Mission run by Project Harar. This involves 26 medical professionals from around the world giving life-changing facial surgery to children and young adults with severe disfigurements such as cleft palate, Noma, and severe facial burns that have developed to become extremely life limiting.
Being the Project Assistant I will be going for 3 weeks. Before the medics arrive I will be helping the nurses settle the patients, then when the Mission begins my main responsibility will be assisting in the smooth running of the general operation! I will be helping to look after the patients, supporting the medical team and providing Admin support for the Project Harar Office in Addis Ababa (such as writing proposal's).
As I'm volunteering directly with the charity, the entirety of the money I raise is going directly towards helping treat the patients throughout the Complex Mission. I hope to reach £700, which would enable Project Harar to treat more children.
Thank you very much for your support in helping me and Project Harar make a lasting impact on many children's lives.
