Story

March 2015 Update

Incredible generosity from all of you who have donated.

Massive Thanks to you all.😃

Training is going well with just a couple of huge runs planned over the next couple of weeks then I start to ease off before the big day in a months time. Feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement topped with an overiding determination not to let down the Children I'm doing this for.

March is Brain Tumor awareness month so please help by wearing a hat on the 27th of March.

February 2015 Update.

I've been really blown away by the generosity of my family, friends, colleagues and work associates. Thank you all for your donations.

Training is getting tougher and with about 9 weeks until the big race it is set to step up to the next phase. I am very lucky to have a number of people supporting me in different ways to keep me going.

If you can donate please do.

Your donations are really helping to keep me focused.

Thanks for visiting my page and please read on⬇️

January 2015 Update.

Fantastic support and donations so far guys. 'Thank You!'

Training is very hard during these cold wet and miserable winter nights/mornings, but it's going well and I am getting great motivation from all the donations, messages and support from the team at 'Children with Cancer'.

However, my discomfort is nothing compared to the ordeal of those brave little girls and boys that we are trying to help.

Thank you again for visiting my page.

If you can donate something please do.

Cheers. Iain.

2014 Story.

Now those of you who know me will appreciate that I'm not exactly sporty or naturally athletic, but I do like a challenge. In this case it's a mighty big challenge!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was watching Lloyds story on Stand Up To Cancer, and this made me reflect on how lucky we are to have good health. What was even more poignant was that this brave young boy was the same age as my own son, he had the same sporting dreams and aspirations as my son yet due to his illness he and his family lived very different lives to us.

It really hit a nerve!

So taking my motivation from Lloyds story and some inspiration from my good friend Paul Abbey (also running), I contacted 'Children With Cancer' and after a number of conversations they gave me the opportunity to take on one of the biggest physical challenges of my life and I will not let them down.

So If you can donate, please help me to help them.
