The Eric Liddell Centre staff and volunteers provide extraordinary activities that are at the heart of our community. 

There are roughly 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia and this figure is expected to rise to one million by 2025. An estimated 90,000 of these people are in Scotland.

The Eric Liddell Centre provides Daycare for 70 people living with a diagnosis of dementia every week, supports Carers all over Edinburgh, delivers Caring Soles, a unique low cost footcare service for elderly people at four Centres in the city, offers Befriending opportunities to clients and carers, provides low cost offices for 8 smaller charities and hosts over 180 classes and meetings of community groups every week.

The Centre faces challenges of ever growing demand for services and a reduction in funding available from the private sector.
