Story
I have decided to run the Jerusalem Marathon this March for Save a Child's Heart. They provide life saving heart surgery to children from developing countries around the world in which the medical facilities present can not perform the life saving surgery they need.
Based in Israel, SACH saves children with congenital heart defects who have almost no chance of surviving to adulthood in their native countries, and saves their lives with no political, cultural, religious, or racial preference whatsoever.
To date, Save a Child's Heart has saved the lives of over 3,700 children from Africa, South America, Europe, Asia, and throughout the Middle East, by a small group of medical professionals who voluntarily offer their time and expertise to perform cardiac surgery and train medical personnel.
Save A Child's Heart also works to multiply the effectiveness of its resources outside of Israel by training medical personnel from developing countries. Tragically, there are countries around the world that simply don’t have the resources or the doctors to save the lives of children. The ultimate goal of Save a Child’s Heart is to create centers of medical competence in developing countries so that children can be treated independently in their home countries.
SACH is a charity that is very dear to me, and any contribution makes a real difference to the lives of children born with congenital heart defects.
Thank you so much for your support,
Ian
