We back the best to help disadvantaged young people succeed.

Story

There will be a valiant team of Impetus-PEF staff braving the challenge on Saturday 12 September, please support with any donation you can afford!

The Impetus-PEF Private Equity Triathlon, in association with the BVCA, features a series of different races across varying distances so everyone can take part, from beginner to seasoned triathlete. If you’re unable to make it to the event or if the idea of running, cycling or swimming anywhere doesn’t appeal to you, please offer your support from afar as every penny you donate will make a crucial difference; transforming the lives of thousands of disadvantaged young people in the UK.

About Impetus-PEF…

Impetus-PEF is committed to transforming the lives of 11-24 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds by ensuring they get the support they need to succeed in education, find and keep jobs, and achieve their potential. We find the most promising charities and social enterprises that work with these children and young people and help them become highly effective organisations that transform lives. We then help them expand significantly so as to dramatically increase the number of young people they serve. More information is available here: www.impetus-pef.org.uk

How your donation helps…

Azijul grew up in Tower Hamlets with his mum, brother and half-sister. At age 15, he came out as gay and was thrown out of the family home. Severely depressed and without support or safety he started truanting and taking drugs. At his lowest point, he reached out for help and was put in touch with one of Impetus-PEF’s charity partners, City Gateway. With their dedicated support, he regained his confidence and enthusiasm for learning and is now halfway through an apprenticeship with the NSPCC. He has his own safe home and is excited about his future in the working world. Impetus-PEF has been working with City Gateway since 2014 to help shape their strategic direction and support the development of their leadership, governance and operational systems. Based in Tower Hamlets, City Gateway provides young people with the skills and opportunities they need to enter work or further education.

By supporting Impetus-PEF's triathletes, every penny you donate will make a crucial difference; transforming the lives pf thousands of disadvantaged young people in the UK, just like Azijul.
