Story
Hi everyone, thanks very much for visiting my Just Giving page!
I will be running the Glencoe marathon on Sunday 5th October so that we can raise funds to purchase and install a public access defibrillator (PAD) in our local village hall. Statistically, your chances of surviving a cardiac arrest (or heart attack) increase dramatically if you are defibrillated in the first 10 minutes. We live in the Trossachs where it is at least a 30 minute round trip to the nearest PAD and we’d like to change that to make our rural community a safer place to live. Once we have reached our target and have a shiny new PAD, we will invite everyone along to attend training sessions which will teach the local community how to use it. It is simple, straightforward and gives you the confidence that you might just save a life sometime. Please support this worthy cause and donate anything you can. THANK YOU!
