Story
Over the last 5 years we have received incredible support when running 10k's and Half Marathons, raising £6399 - thank you to everyone who has supported us so far....
2015 brings by far the toughest challenge yet; Dan is taking on the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2015. As part of the Official SANDS London Marathon team, Dan will be taking on the distance for the 1st time in memory of our daughter Isabel; aiming to raise a further £2000.
Isabel Jane Hubbard was born on Wednesday 28th October 2009 at 10:24am, weighing 7lbs 4 1/2oz's. After a problem free pregnancy, Isabel died shortly after birth.
In memory of our beautiful baby girl we have chosen to raise money for SANDs, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. In the UK, for every 100 live births, 1 pregnancy results in the stillbirth or death of a baby in the early weeks of life. 17 babies die each day, a statistic that is seeing no signs of decreasing, and behind each number is a family rocked to the foundations by the death of their baby. For 50% of stillbirths or neonatal deaths, no cause is found.
Isabel's little sisters Amelia & Phoebe were born in May 2011 and March 2013; they are both fun loving & healthy little girls that will always have their big sister watching over them.SANDS has a nationwide network of local support groups run by bereaved parents to support anyone affected by the loss of a baby. Our Local group, Formby & Southport Sands is part of this network and 25% of your donations will be used to support their work. It is also the most efficient way to donate to donate: Sands will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 25% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you. The Gift Aid is used to support Sands work across the UK.
Thank you for your support
