Story

50 British soldiers based in Besmaya, Iraq will be taking on the CrossFit workout MURPH on 11 November 2017 to raise money for the Felix Fund and as a mark of remembrance on Remembrance Day.  The guys will be joined by soldiers from other nations based in Besmaya to tackle the gruelling workout.

The event will be conducted jointly with members of CrossFit Wandsworth in London, who will also be taking on Murph at the same time as a show of the support for the guys deployed in Besmaya and across the world.

MURPH is named after US Navy Seal Michael Murphy, killed in Afghanistan on 28 June 2005.  The workout was one of his favourites that he used to call 'Body Armour'.  MURPH consists of:

  • 1 Mile Run
  • 100 Pull Ups
  • 200 Press Ups
  • 300 Squats
  • 1 Mile Run
  • All this is done wearing a 20lb weight vest or body armour!

Thanks for visiting this page and your donations really will make a massive difference to servicemen and women and their families, so please be as generous as you can be.
