Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Jack's JustGiving page.
Jack has quite severe speech and communication needs. He has Oromotor dyspraxia, Autism, Organisational motor dyspraxia, Auditory memory difficulties and Complex speech disorder.
We want to send our thanks to St.Catherine's for the wonderful care, therapy and teaching he has received since being there. Jack has made amazing progress educationally, emotionally and his independence and life skills have flourished.
St.Catherine's are a charity and by fundraising for them, your generosity will go directly to this wonderful speech, language and communication charity.
Fundraising is vitally important to support the charity’s work in meeting the needs of children and young people with speech, language and communication impairments. Without charitable support St Catherine’s cannot maintain their first class service provision, invest in new technologies and services/projects to support their children and young people
They are currently raising funds to:
- Launch a new Transition/Moving On service for young people with communication impairments support;
- Expand their outreach service
- Support their children and young people in their learning, therapy and residential environments.
They also need to replace their 12 year old, unreliable minibus. This minibus is used for trips to improve students independence, taking students to and from the ferries for weekends at home, and for trips to the Isle of Wight College, as well as medical appointments, out-of-school clubs and activities. A new minibus will cost the charity £28,000.
They could not do this without your valued support.
