Story
As the Belfast marathon 2018 approaches I was asked by a friend to take part in it as part of a relay team. I seen this as a great opportunity to raise some money for a charity very close to my heart.
The charity I have chosen to raise funds for is 'Northern Ireland Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue' (NISBTR).
The reason i have chosen this charity and why i care so much is because I myself have been lucky enough to rescue and raise a Staffy in my life thus learning so much about this beautiful breed and how much they need a voice.
These dogs are often overlooked in shelters when it comes to rehoming and adoption as there can be a stigma attached to the breed.
Staffies are very much misunderstood and I would like the chance not only to raise money towards rescuing, and costs of homing, blankets beds etc.. but to also raise awareness on the effect fostering/adopting/rescuing can have for these wee misunderstood fur-babies.
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated and i thank you from the bottom of my heart .
