Story
At our 20 week scan on 28th October 2021 (almost one year ago), we got the news that our son would be born with a cleft lip and possible cleft palate.
Our world was turned upside down with so many worries, fears and questions. The Cleft Lip And Palate Association (CLAPA) helped in so many ways such as providing a 4d bonding scan and a welcome pack with bottles specifically designed to feed cleft babies (only available through CLAPA).
One of our biggest worries was how we would feed Bodhi and thanks to CLAPA, this worry went away when we were able to introduce their bottles to him. We honestly do not know what we’d have done without them..
CLAPA now need our help as they do not receive any Government or NHS funding and solely rely on donations, which have unfortunately seen a massive decline since the pandemic. It’s a worrying time for the future of the charity and the 700 families each year that they provide so much support for.
That’s why we are running 10k in less than two weeks and would really, really appreciate any donation at all that you can manage - big or small.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
