I love cycling and have been wanting to do this ride for some time. 

The reasons for doing it with the Beating Bowel Cancer charity are simple. Some of you will know that my family has been affected by bowel/colon cancer over the years and I want to help raise funds for research, prevention and treatment of this illness. So this ride ticks all the right boxes as far as I'm concerned. I just hope the weather's there, unlike at the Surrey Hills Sportive in March, as my mud-covered, traumatised and totally cream-crackered photo shows... :)
