Story
On the 25th September I am going to attempt to complete one of the toughest Cycling events in the UK. 157 miles and 7000ft of climbing in one day!
Many of you will be aware that I have a bit of a passion for adult learning and the difference it can make to some of the most deprived communities and vulnerable individuals in the UK. Having worked at the WEA for a number of years I am always in awe of the work the people do on the front line to improve the chances of individuals, change the fortunes of families and transform local communities in some of the toughest areas. But we are at a critical juncture in reaching out to those who need the vital skills in a post pandemic Britain to ensure they don’t get left behind.
So I am asking for a little bit of help. To ensure I keep going when I am attempting what is clearly an idiotic thing and to make sure we reach as many people that need our help as possible
Thanks in advance you are brilliant. And if you want to see some of the work we do click on the link for just a snippet of the thousands we help every year.
