Story

In light of the desperate situation in Ukraine, James Fisher is launching a fundraising appeal to assist those who are in great and urgent need of support.

The crisis represents Europe’s worst refugee crisis since the second world war, with in excess of 2.5M refugees fleeing Ukraine, and James Fisher felt compelled to act in solidarity with our Ukrainian colleagues, friends and families, and to support those in urgent need of aid.

The James Fisher fundraising initiative will contribute to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC) appeal, which will then work with a range of other charities to disburse the funds where they are most needed to support the people in and fleeing Ukraine.

The company will make an initial donation of £50,000 and will also match employee contributions up to £50,000 as another separate contribution, aiming to raise £150,000 in total.

If you feel able to, we welcome any support you can provide for this Ukrainian appeal.

Thank you again for all your generosity, however you’re able to support.

Our thoughts continue to be with our Ukrainian colleagues and families, and with all the people in and fleeing Ukraine.
