Fundraising for Saint Catherine's Hospice (Scarborough)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My wife's Nan, Irene, was taken from us in 2011. She was a wonderfully gentle, kind and loving person and played a very large part of our lives. She passed away in St Catherine's Hospice and I am taking on this walk in her memory.
Its only during those very dark and difficult times that you truly realise what an amazing charity St Catherine's Hospice are, and what a fantastic service they provide for the local community. Since the day Irene died, I have always supported St Catherine's Hospice in any way that I can. As part of this support, I am taking part in the St Catherine's Hospice trek across the Canadian Rockies in September 2021. It will be a 9 day trip with 5 days trekking through some fantastic scenery including towering mountains, turquoise blue lakes, gleaming glaciers and enchanting forests. With this epic walk I'm determined to try and create my own positive story, remember Irene and help the Hospice. I hope that this journey will help pay them back in some way.
The Hospice needs £5.5m a year to fund patient care. If you feel able, please donate. Your donations will allow the Hospice to continue to deliver their services and help patients and their families receive the support they need through challenging and difficult times.
