Story

Well people, the time has come to dig deep in them pockets, draws, wardrobes or where ever you keep your spare change.

After some long hard thoughts(about 5 minutes) i have decided to try and raise as much money as possible for an AWESOME cause.

I am entering a Novice strongman competition in Northampton on May 20th 2018. https://www.facebook.com/events/458759307858757/. Please feel free to copy this link above to have a gander at event location etc.

The event runs all weekend with specific weight categories and gender being on different days. My weight category is under 105kgs which means a bit more dedication to stay strict with my diet and loose 2-3kgs

There is 5 events. 80kg axle(thick bar) floor to over head press, 200kg trap bar deadlift, 200kg yoke carry, 70, 80, 90 & 100kg keg carry and to finish off, 190kg Seated Rope Pull to Sled Drag. Easy right!!!!!!!!!!

For my troubles, hard work and dedication i am raising money for a charity very close to my heart. Mary Ann Evans hospice have been there every step of the way for my mum and dad, from respite care for both my parents, to one to one sessions for my mum to open up about her struggles and to cope with the future ahead.

For those of you that dont know, my dad Wilf Webb(Legend), was diagnosed with a brain tumor nearly 4 years ago. Unfortunately the operation to remove the tumor was not successful, so my dad was given less than a year to live.

The past few years have had massive ups and downs, dad had sepsis in August 2016 which was, what we thought (mum, 2 sisters), were his final few days/weeks. Astonishingly he came through it, came off the syringe driver and defied medical science. Dad was unable to walk and had 24hr care from my mum(true legend) and also carers and nurses, numerous times a day.

Unfortunately on Saturday the 27th, my dad lost his fight for life. Me, my 2 sisters and mum were all there holding him when he took his last breaths. Now we have to stay strong as a family and be there for each other at the time of need.
I have picked this event as it is the closest comp to his birthday. What more focus and determination do i need to smash this comp out the water, than my dads voice shouting in my ear.... GO ON SON!!!!!!! I will do him proud.

On that note, before my emotions take hold(already have), please would you be so kind to donate to this fabulous charity. I will not let you down.

Many Thanks, Jamie   (Jnr Webby) xxxxxxxxxx
