Event: BT Tower Climb, on 5 March 2016
We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 5th March, I'll be climbing the 1030 steps over 34 floors to the top of the BT Tower in London. It's called tower running and I can't wait for the view :-) My "wave" of 35-40 co-tower runners go off at 11.30am and we're expected to take around 15 minutes to finish.

From the top, I'll be able to see Great Ormond Street Hospital, one of the world's leading children's hospitals. The charity for this hospital raises money for parent and family support, research into rare conditions, cardiac and palliative care. GOSH is the largest paediatric centre for cardiac surgery in the UK and one of the largest heart transplant centres in the world.  One in 3 children in need of a heart transplant die waiting for a donor; those that receive one will live because of it for around 15 years. Only around 5% will go on to have a second transplant. Suddenly my 1030 steps seem very insignificant indeed. Please help me to raise funds for the work of this excellent institution.
