Since my cancer operation last year I have visited the Maggie's Centre in Newcastle many times.  I consider that it has played a big part in my recovery. 

It is great to go there at any time, have a cuppa and a chat - and usually lots of cake etc!  The volunteers and cancer support nurses are fabulous and there is a positive and welcoming atmosphere.  In addition you can chat to other people who are going through the same thing as you.

I have also attended courses there, eg mindfulness.  The workshops I have done included 'Look Good Feel Better' which was great!

I would like to raise money for Maggie's so that other people can enjoy all these activities too!
