My son was diagnosed with Menieres five years ago, he was only 17 at the time. Menieres has had life changing effects not only for my son, but for our whole family. All the hopes and aspirations he may have had for the future have been put on hold. 

I’m hoping to raise money to fund research into this debilitating condition. Long term health conditions such as Menieres have huge mental health implications as well as the extremely unpleasant physical effects. My son has suffered extreme vertigo attacks with vomiting, loss of hearing in the effected ear, constant tinnitus and balance problems. 

We hope that one day he will be able to resume his life, achieve his goals and to be an independent young man.

I have done a few long distance walks for charity before. This walk will take four or five days to cover the 100 miles around the circumference of the Dartmoor National Park. I will be walking up to 25miles each day over hilly terrain. Please help me in my efforts to raise money for this very worthwhile charity.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic I was unable to complete my walk over the Easter break. Now that some of the restrictions on outdoor exercise have been lifted I’m planning to try and complete my challenge in the next few weeks.
